Noveske Rifleworks in Grants Pass, Oregon is saying “screw you” to political correctness, and has been confidently announcing its newest Gen 4 “Ghetto Blaster” line this week.
The name “Ghetto Blaster” promotes allegiance to the giant boom boxes that were so popular in the 1980’s and 90’s. It’s no surprise, then, that the size of the giant firearm is very similar to that of these old school music players.
The Ghetto Blaster comes in three different models: a 5.56 mm with a 16-inch barrel, and two 7.84-inch .300 BLK and 5.56mm options. Each of these models comes with an adjustable gas block, Magpul grip, and Geissele SD-E trigger.
Customers also have the option of selecting either a Keymod or an M-LOK free float handguard to add to their new favorite firearm.
The MSRP is currently about $2,000 and is set to become available as early as the first quarter of 2018.
Despite its promise, Noveske’s unconventional product may begin to receive some backlash from minorities due to its politically incorrect name, and some Americans may find this firearm offensive. However, time will tell if these negative opinions have a negative impact on the company’s sales.
